Many people don't know it yet, but YouTube now offers a feature to slow music down without changing pitch.  Click the gear icon located on the right side under the video you've selected.  It's not as precise as dedicated applications and you can't loop it, but it's easy to use.

It's always useful to practice with a metronome.  There are a number online, but keep in mind that their accuracy can vary with the speed of your internet connections.  Here's one worth checking out:  https://www.metronomeonline.com

There are an infinite number of sites online to obtain tablature for virtually every kind of pop music.  Deadheads will find these sites particularly useful:

  • Pretty much all things Dead, including chord charts and simple tabs:  http://www.rukind.com
  • Carefully tabbed charts, including solos, as well as video lessons for Dead and other rock music:  jdarks.com

You might want to take a look at the web site of Jon Herington -- He's a great musician, good guy, and excellent teacher, especially for advanced players.
